We have been designing and developing websites for over 15 years. Much has changed in software, media tools, speed of the internet, intensity of graphics, etc.. However, one thing remains constant - people still seek content. How that content is conveyed may be different but the purpose hasn't changed.

It is amazing to look back at how websites have progressed throughout the years. We love to visit Internet Archive Wayback to check out sites like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and others to see how they have changed since 10-15 years ago. Go ahead and search for a site that you frequent.
